What Is a GMO?

Genetically Modified Organisms. It is when you take the genes from one species and force them into the DNA of another species.

There are 9 GM crops on the market. The primary traits are either “herbicide tolerance” or “pesticide production”.
Herbicide tolerance–Roundup Ready is the most popular herbicide. There’s Roundup Ready soy, corn, cotton, sugar beets, and alfalfa. They are engineered from bacteria, and pieces of virus, etc., and will not die when sprayed with herbicide. Herbicides normally kill plants, thereby making weeding easier for agribusiness. They can simply spray over the crops, killing all the weeds but not the Roundup Ready crops. Read More →

Our Federal Drug Administration

Our tax dollars NOT at work. The FDA does not require a single safety study on GMO’s. This became policy in 1992, overseen by Michael Taylor who was formerly Monsanto’s attorney. He was actually assigned a new position, designed specifically for him, by the FDA, when the agency was ordered by the White House to promote GMO’s.

Taylor’s policy falsely claimed that the agency wasn’t aware of any information indicating that GMO’s were significantly different from “normal” food; therefore, no testing or labeling was necessary. This left companies like Monsanto to determine on their own whether their GMO’s were safe. Monsanto had previously told us that Agent Orange, PCB’s and DDT’s were safe and got that wrong. Imported food we eat is junk :

Green Giant frozen vegetables are from China, and so are most of Europe’s Best. Arctic Gardens are Okay. So is Birdseye.

Never buy the grocery store garlic unless it is clearly marked from USA or Canada, the other stuff is grown in people’s… dung (even worse than chicken poop). China is the largest producer of garlic in the world; U. S. is next. Read More →

Smithfield Farm

delicouse dishSmithfield Farms, the largest pork producing farm in the USA was sold in September to China with the unanimous support of its stockholders. The hogs will still be raised here, but slaughtered and packaged for sale there before being sent back here. This includes labels: of Morrell, Eckrich, Krakus, Cudahy, Premium Hams, Cook’s, Gwaltney. The same is true with chickens under these labels. They can now be shipped there, but when they come back all that needs to be on the label is that they… WERE RAISED IN THE USA. Not that they were processed in China. Our great FDA at work. The chickens under these labels will all be processed and most sold to fast food restaurants, schools and supermarkets. The China slaughter and processing requirements are, for the most part, unregulated and far inferior to requirements of the U.S.A.

Must See Video

Please take 17 minutes to watch the video below.

After completing her MBA, Robyn became a food analyst for the food industry. One of her children had a severe allergic reaction to “food,” and that started her search for what is in America’s food.

She is compelling, and well-spoken.

Food and Nutrition

First and foremost, the most important step you can take is: Stop eating all refined, processed, and manufactured food. It is that simple. These chemical, food like products are full of all the elements that undermine health, shorten life, promote obesity and cause disease. This is strongly documented in all the recent research. It has the omega 6 fatty acids in huge quantities, the unhealthy fats like trans fats, sugar and all the chemical sugars(especially harmful is high fructose corn syrup), the food dyes, and most harmful to our bodies is the highly refined carbohydrates that spike our blood sugar. Chronic Inflammation

Today I will be talking about to different opinions from 2 highly trained Medical Doctors who were instructors in the nutrition school I attended this past year. Dr. Andrew Weil of the Center for Integrative Medicine, and Dr. Mark Hyman, who is at the forefront of a new type of Medicine called Functional Medicine. He was my doctor for a total of one week, 10 years ago, when I attended the Canyon Ranch Medical Spa. They did a battery of tests on us, and one blood test was called C Reactive Protein, that measures the body’s inflammation. It is this chronic, inappropriate inflammation that we will be discussing.
